Nokia Asha 309 full review and specifications:-
Nokia continuously fighting against Android phone with its Lumia and Asha phones to make space in smartphones market and is making progress doing this, recently nokia has introduce its new phone Nokia Asha 309 which is the successor of previously released Nokia Asha 306. It looks similar, although it comes with the huge RAM double of Asha 306, it also much more responsive capacitive touch screen.Asha 309 is much more dinkier than the most other touch screen phones on market. It is just 53mm wide and battery cover on back side is rounded so it can feel comfort even in small hands to hold. Its large gaps between the screen and top and bottom edges of the phone, its not much shorter than large budget Androids phones that have 3.4 inches screen.
With Asha 309, your world is at your finger tips with its super smooth, accurate touch screen, you can swipe across to jump between three customized home screens for you applications, contacts and calls. You can pull down to see your messages and call alerts.
It is much more batter than the Nokia 206
This phone looks smarter than other because of the dark chrome effect on the sides at top and bottom of the phone. It does not looks solid but of plastic type so there is no danger of breaking of its body.
There are two call buttons beneath the screen that looks like touch buttons, but they are just covered with a flexible membrane to turn out the old fashioned push buttons.Other than these buttons, there are volume rocker and lock buttons are on the side of phone, both are present on the right side.At the top there is a audio jack of standard size 3.5mm, beside this there is a micro USB port. In right side there is memory card slot hidden behind the flap for internal storage system.
In old nokia Asha phones like in Asha 306, there is resistive touch screen display which did not respond very quickly, but in Asha 309 thanks to the Nokia for making wise decision on upgrading its touch screen technology with the latest capacitive touch screen which is very quick in responding. You can move here and there between the application with out any frustration, moreover you can move you finger smoothly because of its smooth screen.
How ever i think display is still very weak because it has low resolution of about 240 x 400 and screen size of about 3.2 or 3.5 inches, that is the main reason web browsing on asha 309 is not as much fun as it could be, it seems as viewing webpages like trying to scan a room by peering through a small keyhole. The display of Asha 309 is bright and looks cool to eyes and can readable outdoor under direct light.
Pros and Cons:-
Long battery life
Good quality calls
Poor browser
No 3G network
lack of GPS
Specifications:-
Last Words:-
According to me, this phone has long time battery backup which i think is good for business people who has to manage their work through calls and for those who have fond of typing messages.
